The Coen brothers did the impossible: they created a southern comedy out of Homer's Odyssey, and sent the world bluegrass crazy with their Appalachian soundtrack (which surprisingly won more awards than the movie). In O Brother, the Coens reunite with a fabulous cast of their regulars: John Goodman as the evil one-eyed salesman, John Turturo as a slow-witted convict, Holly Hunter in a small but respectable role as estranged wife to George Clooney's Ulysses, Charles Durning as Governor Pappy, and Michael Badalucco as a cow-shooting gangster. New to the gang are Clooney in all his pop-eyed wonder, and Tim Blake Nelson in a glorious portrayal of southern-dippity.

The Coens have keenly combined their comic genius of Raising Arizona with their dark vision of Barton Fink. The DVD includes extras such as a making-of featurette, special effects features, storyboards, music videos, and trailers.
