Tab Hunter was presented with a star at StarFair, the fest of the Palm Springs Walk of Stars. It will be near Starbucks, so grab some joe when you pay respects.
Russ Tamblyn opened the presentation by joking, "Somebody just told me you're gay! We went on double dates...and you never hit on me! And I was a dancer!"
Tony Curtis then grabbed the mic to expound upon the wonder of movies. He said that someday a rocket ship will launch from a destroyed Earth with all of the movies ever made on one tiny microchip. It will inevitably hit a planet where they have the capabilities to view it, and the films will live forever.
At which point the woman standing next to me said, "They say there are 600 others just like ours." I was too dumbfounded to ask who she was (she had also been chatting it up during The Birds), and she went on to mention that she went to the '85 Cannes with Curtis. I believe it was Carroll Baker.
